Okay I just recieved this plasma hdtv today. This is my first plasma HDTV. So Im curious for the break in period what settings should I use for the TV? ALso after break in do I adjust the settings at all or leave them as they are? The main thing is I want this plasma to last awhile without getting early burnin. Thanks in advance.

BTW Theres a football and baseball game on tonight, is it okay if I watch it on the brand new plasma? Ive heard sports programs are more likely to cause burnin.

You'll get a bunch tonite with the Tips Sheet, wasn't home last night....key is just to have the Contrast and Brightness BELOW 50 for the first 100-200 hours.

Don't use any presets except Personal.

Okay cool. Ive been waiting for that tips sheet. Yeah I changed the contrast and brightness to under 50%, 40% to be exact.

Offtopic: Seems like theres not alot of Philips TV guys on here. Whats with that.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm getting this particular model from Philips as a replacement for my old set that went bad.

I was wondering about the breakin and tips.

Thanks!
