I am down to these 2 TVs but I can't find anywhere to compare side by side. I have read all the rave reviews about the 5080s black levels - does it have significant advantages over the 6070 in other areas? I sit about 13' from the screen and watch mostly SD with an occasional HD football game. Today I can get the 6070 for about $700 more than the 5080. 50" or 60"?

My store actually has the 6070 and 5080 side-by-side oddly enough. The difference is enough for me to choose the 5080. It's a night and day comparison.

Depends on your viewing distance. Both are great displays!

My local best buy had the 5080 and 6070 relatively close (one row apart). The blacks on the 5080 were much better. The colors on the 5080 were messed up so I couldn't get a valid comparison, however, the 5010 was stunning. This is a difficult decision though.. at 10', I would certainly want a 60" display, but the 5080 is certainly a much better set. dunno what to say.. its personal preference.
