Does anyone know what it means when it says built in equalizer. Is it better to have an equalizer for a longer length? Im running the cable from my computer to a monoprice switch. Im going to get an HDMI equiped video card soon.

At any length longer than about 25FT, you will need an equalizer. Whether it is a stand alone unit or built in to the cable is up to you. The equalizer is placed at the end of the cable run (near the display or switch in your case) and it basically cleans up (equalizes) the signal. You WILL need this for a 75FT run.
