I was talking to a sales guy who told me that Motorola DCT 6416 has some issues with HDMI connections and they would recommend component connection. I thought this was resolved with a driver update?

One of my neighbors had the HDMI output on his 6416 fail and the box had to be replaced. While waiting for the cable company to come the next day he switched to comonent but did not like the quality of the colors with component and having to use 5 cables instead of one.
