I'm am millimeters away from purchasing an Onkyo TX SR605 so I can enjoy all the wonderful uncompressed audio tracks on Blu-ray.

My question is this: I'll be connecting my PS3 to the Onkyo via HDMI, then HDMI out from the receiver to the TV. Is there ANY resulting loss in video quality from passing the video through the receiver before it gets to the TV?

I apologize if this is common knowledge. Thank you for any and all of your help.

Funny things can and do happen with HDMI in general. I wouldn't call it degredation though, so I'd say the answer to your question is "No".

What type "funny things" are you referring to?
