I was using the Harmony Desktop application today and noticed that you can now program something called a Sequence! It's limited to 5 steps right now. I only tried a few, but it seems like commands are sent fairly quickly.

If you customize an Activity, you will see a new button next to Additional Buttons called "Sequence". You can then name the sequence and add five commands from the devices of your choice. You then assign the sequence by choosing a button or custom LCD button to add it to. Simply select "Sequence" for the device in the drop down and select the sequence name you originally named it.

I'm not sure I get it. Can you give an example of how this would be used?

Also, what should go in the "Sequence" box? A name you make up, or an existing Button name (like Menu) or ???

Thanks...

Make up a name. Then when you custmize an activity, under "Customize the standard buttons on your remote" you can now choose "Sequence" as a device. From there you can select any of the Macros (sequences) that you made.

I use it to perform light control based on Play/Pause/Stop. Previously to this update I had to learn a sequence of commands in raw mode as one command. Worked...Yes..but this is certainly better.

It doesn't appear that you can use sequence commands on devices, only activities unless I am confused which is quite possible.
