Heya folks,
I was surprised that something now "just works" which was very difficult to do a few months ago. I'm now able to stream pictures from my Linux computer to any Xbox 360 on the network. This was possible before via Twonkymedia, but that was commercial software.
Ushare does this freely "out of the box" and it just works. This makes it easier for me to display photos when visiting friends. Instead of hooking up the laptop to their projection system or relying on USB keys, I can just share them over their LAN. Most folks have their Xbox hooked up to their best display, so it works out well.
Yeah, sure, 98% of people out there run Windows laptops anyway and could just use the connection software. I run Fedora on my laptop, however, and I'm glad this functionality is now easy.
