KenToizumi 09-08-07, 01:05 AM That what it says on the web site aod 09-08-07, 02:04 AM I don't care how much it costs. It will be mine at any price. phisch 09-08-07, 04:13 PM I like this movie too, but I am going to rent it first to see how they did with the transfer. California Joe 09-08-07, 04:20 PM I am with phisch on this one. I dont wanna spend $$ on a movie that looks/sounds like crap regardless of the movie bboisvert 09-08-07, 05:27 PM ^ Someone (Alan?) already has a copy and says the transfer looks good. As long as you aren't expecting it to look like a 2007 release (especially given the primative state of CGI back in 1984), I don't think you'll be disappointed. TheAxis 09-08-07, 05:50 PM I've been meaning to pick this movie up on SD for years but just haven't done so. It was on TV a few weeks ago and made me want to buy it. Now that it is coming out on HD DVD...well...I just placed my Amazon preorder. agentalbert 09-08-07, 09:23 PM I liked this as a kid, but I saw it recently on HDNet (I think), and it didn't hold up for me at all. I normally go for movies like this, but I'll have to pass on this one, no matter how good a transfer it might be. charles0424 09-08-07, 09:36 PM Looking forward to this release. Never seen it so it will be a blind buy for me. technofranki 09-09-07, 07:28 AM The Last Starfighter is also available for pre-order from Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000SQFC0E/?tag=technofrblog-20) at US$19.95. |
