Hello, just seeking advice. I'm seriously looking at this Samsung for my apartment. Maybe this belongs in the LCD forum but this is purely from a PS3 point of view. How is this T.V. for PS3 gaming, and more importantly, as a Blu Ray movie showcaser? I hear there was a HDMI problem with this LCD but that's solved with the newest firmware. My main attraction to this T.V. for the PS3 is the 8 ms response time for games and the awesome blacks this LCD gives. Any comments from owners? Thanks!

If you want a truly spectacular PS3/BD image then go for one of the new 71 series Samsungs , these are hands down the best LCD's that I have ever seen ( rivals most any plasma regarding black level ) .

Thanks for the insight you got me to thinking....but is 71 series worth the extra 600-900 dollars you think? And if I'm going for a 40", on Amazon the 40" and 46" 71 series are almost EXACTLY the same price right now, is 7 feet away a 46" too big?

Go and see the 71 series in action and compare it . I like to quote the sales rep when he said "it makes all the other tv's look bad" ;) . My wife saw the 52" and freaked , could not take her eyes off of it , of course she then saw the price and said " ah , no wonder it looks so amazing " (hehe) . We were watching POTC : Dead Man's Chest on BD playing from a PS3 at 1080p and it was simply stunning (so yes it is worth the extra $$$ in my opinion) .
Honestly you could go bigger than a 46" from 7' if you wanted , I mean we are talking 1080p resolution here and you will have no visible pixel structure from 7' on a 46" display .
Best of Luck and I will be envious of that 46" 71 series (have fun) :D .

Been a 4061 (matte screen instead of glossy) owner since June and I love it. The only problems these sets have/had was the HDMI handshaking issues which as you said already have been fixed (early July).
There a great owner's thread running in the LCD forum on AVS, check it out.

4665 owner here (46" version of the one you're looking at), bought it in June. Never had the HDMI problem, all units manufactured after the end of May are immune. The blacks are very impressive and the PS3 looks amazing on it. The glossy screen bothers some people but I really like it.
I've had the LNT4065 for over a month, and couldn't be happier. I had a May build display, and very rare hdmi issues. However, Samsung's customer service was great...after a 3 min phone call, a tech was scheduled and latest board installed some days later.
I notice 0 motion blur/ghosting, and for the price you can't beat the 61/65 series.
