I hope paramount will release these movies in time for the holidays. I really want them bad. What does everbody else think?

Do I want them too? Absolutely.

However, I don't think it's particularly likely. We probably would have heard about it by now.

With the new theatrical one coming out for *next years* holidays... that might be a logical time.

Me too, I'd pay fot this 200 buck with question, instead of TOS season one.

I would think they would cost more than $200 if Season 1 was only $200.

There's only 10 movies, right... so I can't imagine a set of them costing more than $200 SRP. Individual movies, even combo discs, can be routinely had for $28 or less on new release day... and there'd better be a bulk discount for a 10-movie set.

Plus, not too many folks were paying that $200 SRP for the Season 1 set in reality. Most folks paid $100-$130 for it.

I'd personally just be glad if they at least released all 10 films as ports of the 2-disc SE DVDs....obviously upgraded/remastered video to 1080p, but I wouldn't pass on them if they didn't provide lossless audio or any new features or whatever....hear me Paramount? All I need at a minimum is DD+ @ 1.5 mbps for audio and all the special features ported over and I'd be a happy camper...I'm sure each film could easily fit onto a 30gig dual layer disc with AVC encoding, high bitrate DD+ audio, and all of the current standard def extras...

(Not that I wouldn't be even more happy with an upgrade to TrueHD audio and some new extras or high def upgraded extras, if any of the original special features were shot that way!)

Give me The Motion Picture, Wrath of Khan, and First Contact, and I'll be happy. Generations would be good too (guilty pleasure, I like that film).

Bought the SD DVD set 2 years ago (the 20-disc), so I don't feel as bad about double dipping now. I'd watch all of them except Final Frontier, so it would be worth it. COME ON PARAMOUNT!!!
