Does this mean that Paramount is trying to add LOSSLESS track ? Overall a shame on Paramount for repeatedly postponing release of important titles.

I don't know what you are complaining about -- this movie was just in the theaters!

The delay is worth it if they are adding TrueHD, let's hope!

Paramount has already screwed up with the release dates of Face/Off despite of not giving any LOSSLESS track. This had forced many fans of the movie to grabs the blu-ray version released by BVHE which has delivered outstanding PQ and an unbelievable and ass-kicking PCM track @ 4.6 Mbps. Paramount has been sliding down the hill in the audio department and this is not good news for the Hi-Def fans whose expectations are sky high.

That's not much of a delay. The release date is 10-16.

Release date, still 10/16/07!

In my case, ... for the last 9 months or so, ... I usually get my HD DVD pre-orders on the Release Date - including "Heroes:Season 1".

Amazon would send me an email sometime Monday (day before official Release Date) afternoon that my pre-order has shipped, ... then I get my HD DVD Tuesday afternoon!!! :D

Since I get 10% OFF & PRIME 2-Day SH for FREE (Transformers 2-Disc HD DVD $25.15), ... I don't visit Fry's or BB anymore!!!

If they originally announced a release date of Nov. 12 and then changed it to Oct. 24 would you still have the same comment?

The freakin movie is still playing at the theater in my town...

Not weird. Here's what I think. Amazon knows how many copies they will initially get from the distributor. They already sold out of the initial allotment. The later date is for the second allotment and it's probably just a guess. I wouldn't be surprised if the date changes again. That's why it is so important to pre-order as quickly as possible on such a high-demand item.

Mine was pushed back to 10/17 ship date. No big deal.

I got the exact same delay notice that the OP did. If it's an "allotment" delay, they shouldn't say in the message that the release date has been changed.

My order is still on schedule. I think it is just an allotment issue.

Seems to me that it is very soon after release to theaters. I just orderd mine this morning. I'm thinking it will be worth the wait. Caimed release Oct. 16.

I did get message about another movie I had on pre-order. The arrival date moved back a couple of days. Not an issue for me!;)

I would think any members who arent with prime too are gonna be pushed as well as the orders keep coming in. Since prime members get priority

When was Face/Off released by BVHE on BR?

Mine still has a shipping estimate of 10/16 and a delivery estimate of 10/18 (free 2-day since I'm Prime). Should arrive in one day though since they usually ship my orders from Lexington, KY. I preordered it yesterday FYI.

Maybe they're delaying their non-prime members to the 25th. It can't be an actual release date delay since 10/25 is a thursday.

Exactly the same for me.

The later date that some are getting is reflective of a second allotment, I believe. The first allotment must've sold out within 12 hours or so.

Sometimes, when demand exceeds predicted stock, amazon will completely pull the product for a while until they can assure additional distributions. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Transformers go dead for a few days while they arrange for additional copies.

Agreed. Why they wouldn't be planning to include TrueHD on this release from the get go is beyond me. HD DVD should be about HD audio as well as HD video!

A title like this NEEDS to be day and date.

While we may cheer for TruHD, for the mass market that a title like this is intended for, day and date release > TruHD.
