Is it possible to output hdmi directly to tv (for audio and video) and at the same time get stereo audio output from PS3 to my receiver.
I need to do this because of the way my whole house stereo audio system is wired. In other words, if I want stereo audio to my in wall speakers from my Blu Ray player, I need to output stereo audio from the PS3 to an in wall cable that runs to my SpeakerCraft multi room receiver. I then have an in wall hdmi cable to my wall mount flat panel.
Thanks for your help

I don't think the PS3 can currently do more than a single audio output selection. I would look at your TV for an option of audio output. Alternatively, you could do video only to the TV via HDMI and stereo audio to your receiver. You'd miss out on digital audio like this, but I'm assuming your TV doesn't produce as good a sound as your receiver.

I think your alternative comment applies to my needs.
I will not be able to use the TV for audio out. I have to feed the video from PS3 to tv via HDMI. At the same time I will need two channel stereo output from PS3 to my receiver.

I have the video going to my tv via hdmi. The audio goes to my stereo via optical. You can choose 2 channel rca, but the optical is better if you have an optical input on your amp.

I think that his in-wall wire setup is currently preventing him from going any route other than rca (op correct me if i am wrong)

How are your speakers connected to you AVR?
It seems that you will need to run a coax or optical out from your tv through the wall to you avr.
