Before I send back what may be a problem player (the A2 I scored on the Amazon sale), can someone suggest other problem discs and scenes that I should try first?

I can live without Happy Feet if that is the only one that causes me headaches.

I heard that CoM and Superman Returns might be also problematic. is this true? Which parts? I have both and can check it out.

Yes, sorry. Forgot to mention I upgraded firmware, tried the power off thing, and stood on one leg.

The problems with Superman Returns are disc related IIRC, and not the fault of the player.

I hope you stood on your right leg or else the problem would still persist.
