just picked up a psp slim and downloaded some game trailers of the psp site and they are showing as unsupported data. the firmware is the latest and i was able to get a few final fantasy advent children clips to work but any game trailers say unsupported data eventhough its straight from sony. anyone else have this problem?

also, anyone try the video out functions yet? my store didn't have the cables in when i went to buy them.

Dumb question but when you chose what file to DL you chose the 480p one for psp right?

its not from the store, its the sony official website from the psp browser. you don't get a choice because all the content is geared specifically for the psp (including some really lousy rss audio/video channels with some incredible loser named egghead, and his equally terrible sidekick).

Hey Tandr, same exact thing has happened with mine. I just bought my psp slim today (the Daxter bundle) and I formatted my memory stick and proceeded to download content directly from the psp website via the psp and have not been able to watch certain trailers due to the "unsupported data" message. The "Ape Escape Academy" trailer for instance works fine. But when I tried to view the "FFT" or "Jeanne D'arc" trailers they couldn't be recognized. I contacted Sony through their website/tech support. I'm relieved I'm not the only one with this problem. Let me know if you figure anything out.

Same problem here. I popped the memory stick into my PC to check it out and noticed the videos I downloaded saved into a folder called MP_ROOT. I moved them into the Video folder and they now play on the PSP. But the thumbnails still won't show up.

Which trailers did you download? I'll give them a shot and see what I get.

the new "ape escape" trailer worked for me.
