I have a Denon 2900 that I use for DVD-A and SACD listening. If I power on the unit and pop in a CD, DVD, DVD-A or SACD, the unit is not able to read it. If I leave it on for say 24 hours, I can put any one of the above in and it reads fine.

Any idea what might be causing this? Its ok if I know when I'm listening in advance, but there's no impromptu listening at the moment.

Drew - I have the same problem! Did you ever get an answer to this vexing question? My 2900 will play SACD and DVD-A, but will routinely NOT play regular Redbook CD's?

What is up with this?
