I have enjoyed my sp4805 for over a year now but recently ceiling mounted it & adjusted the keystone settings & have noticed subtle degradation in the picture quality sharpness. I have emailed Infocus a few questions but figured I might do better by asking them here.
They are:

1. Does switching the unit to the "ceiling mounted" configuration usually cause a degradation of the picture? (&, if so, are there any settings to improve it?)

2. Does adjusting the keystone settings usually cause a degradation of the picture? (&, if so, are there any settings to improve it?)

Thanks

1) No.
2) Yes. Digitally adjusting the image size reduces the quality. Set the keystone to "0" and adjust your projector height and perhaps your screen height.

try tilting the the 4805 slightly upwards towards the ceiling. you can usually gain a few inches and mask any trapazoid issues with border of the screen. that's what i did.

Ceiling does not affect PQ... Keystoning can as you approach extremes, but mild keystone correction is not visible in PQ to me anyway.
