View Full Version : DIY Mask for HP screen

I purchased a 119" HP screen about 7 months ago and as much as I love it, I really need to mask it. Problem is, it's a pull down. I have been having a hard time finding material long enough that is also wide enough... and light enough. I think I found something though... vinyl siding! I could just pick up a few strips and adhere some black velvet or felt and apply with magnets. My worry is that the fabric on the mask will damage the coating on the screen. I already have a few (mostly unnoticable) blemishes from where tiny summer bugs were on the screen when it rolled up.

Any other ideas or would velvet or felt hurt the coating?

How about attaching some velvet with velcro

Sorry, it looks like this ended up in the wrong forum somehow, feel free to move it.

I don't want to do anything as permant as velcro. With the magents I can put them on and take leaving nothing behind. Plus, I don't know how the velcro would do rolling up and down for use.
