That is a tough one. First they are not shown in the same environment so comparisons are tough. Marantz had a better overall demo including much better sound. Planar was demoing their PJs in a darkened conference room compared to Marantz which was a small theater setting. Planar was showing a range of their PJs for dealers and not trying to give you a HT experience. Subjectively, I'd say the Planar will be brighter so depending on your room conditions and lighting that might factor in your decision. But, this is a tough comparison. Both are good projectors.
