I'm relatively new to a lot of the tech on this TV as I just replaced my busted 36HS510. I love the set so far and am blown away with the picture. I have a few questions if no one minds :) I have spent a lot of time on these boards looking for answers to put my mind at ease. Here ya go...

1. I read somewhere that this set does not upscale to 1080p. Is this wrong? I think it is as I thought it was a fixed pixel set and HAS to display everything in 1080p.

2. Having just purchased a Toshiba HD-A2 ( I know, I could have opted for the A20 to get 1080p but it was a steal! ) that does not do 1080p and assuming that my above assumption is correct then I am getting 1080p anyway, correct?

Thanks

1-It's a native 1080p fixed pixel display so it does upscale everything to 1080p

2-your assumption is correct, and since the tv does an excellent job of de-interlacing the 1080i you're not losing a single thing using the 1080i player vs the 1080p one. I have a 60A2000 and an A2 outputting 1080i along with a PS3 outputting 1080p and there is absolutely no difference in pq.

Steve S,

Do you know if it is possible to do 1:1 pixel on the KDS60R2000 with the DVDO VP50?
If at all you do know the answer to this it would be most helpful(buying it tommorrow)
Thanks
