I've narrowed my choice down to these three TVs:

Samsung HLT6176S
Mitsubishi WD-65733
Sony KDS-60A3000

I've read each specific thread, but am still a little unsure of which TV will be the best for my needs. I'm mainly going to be using the TV to view standard cable, (possible HD cable in the future) DVDs, gaming (360, PS3, Wii), and HD-DVD and Blu-ray. Some things I'm concerned about:

The Samsung bowing problem, will it really be that noticeable?
The Mitsubishi didn't look as clear as the other sets at the store, but I was thinking it could be the signal.
The Sony look great, but I don't know it if it was $400 dollars more great.

Any opinions? Also do these sets support HDMI 1.3?

The Mit and Sony does HDMI 1.3, not sure about the sam, if your going to put the Mit in here, you should look at the 65734, about same price but more features, like PerFecTint, DarkDetailer,4 HDMI hook up's, Net-command, and some others, The 733 is the low-end model, the 734 next step up, more tv for the money.
have the Mit 65734 and 65833 and no problems at all, great PQ, color, the Sony A-3000 is a very nice tv also, but i think the Mit is a little better, better PQ, 5" more and better over all looking tv, will not deal with samsung, so will not give a opinion

Thanks for the very quick reply. The store I was looking at did not have the Mit 65734, but I will look into that model. Is there anything negative about the Mit you can think of? Has there been alot of geometry problems like what is happening with the Samsungs? Also on the Sony what more are you really getting for the extra money? I couldn't really see anything besides the Sony name, but I could be wrong. Although I did read that this TV has really good black levels.

Another quick question, when it comes time to change the lamp on any of these TVs do you think that it will every be a problem finding a lamp? Like lets say 3 or 4 years down the road? I know technology will be way way advanced by then, but I was just curious on what others had to say about this.

The only negative thing i could say about the new Mit's, some had a loud humming , and had to take back for another, but this is said to be resolved by Mit, No geometry problems like with the sam's, and if you would have any geometry problems , it's a easy fix in service menu, unlike the sam's that can not be fix,yes , the sony has good black levels, but i think the Mit is as good, The only thing that the Sony has over the 734 (that i know of) is 120Hz, you would have to move up to the Mit 833 for this feature, with every thing i'd read , opinions about what one has the best PQ (beween the Mit and Sony) are about even, so it comes down to personal choice.
About Lamps, my dad has a 3 year old Mit , and just change the lamp within the last 2 weeks and had no problem getting one, about all i can tell you on this!

No problems finding lamps. Go with the 734 for Mits. Sony does not have a spinning color wheel. Advantage Sony.

Ive been looking at the new 72" samsung. Wonder if I should start looking at the new 73" Mitsubishi (833 model)? Is it better than the samsung, both have its faults I know.

I also know what ever looks best in my eyes is what I should get but seems there are more people praising the Mitsubishi.
