Schedules Direct has announced it's first price cut of $15 for 6 months. Existing subscribers automatically get their subscriptions extended for another 3 months:

As soon as enough people subscribe the price WILL drop to $20 a year!

Looking good...

What really irks me, though, is the fact that cable providers don't supply a standardized XML 2-week downloadable schedule as part of your subscription.

Maybe the FCC should make such a ruling...

Comcast, WOW, etc, should be mandated to provide an industry standard XML schedule for subscribers, tailored to every customer's local market.

great news - glad I subscribed and am supporting this effort. I agree with you about the cable providers. But they just want the dollars -- service be damned. But on the flip side, if they had good products, I would have never tried myth...

Cable providers send a standard schedule right over your cable line. It would be nice if someone could get the hardware manufacturers interested in including what's called an "out of band" tuner in their cards, and release enough documentation to program the things.
