As we salivate over what to replace our old unit with I wonder what I will do with my old RPTV. If it's three years or older should you try and sell it or maybe just give it away. Of course this will vary depending on what you have. Share your thoughts based on your situation.

I just replaced my 16 yr old 60" CRT-based, heavy, oak-clad Hitachi Ultravision RPTV with a Samsung 6756. Just the thought of getting the Hitachi onto my truck made my back start aching. So, I asked my neighbors if they'd like it (for free) and they said yes. So, we rolled it over there on its built-in rollers and set it up in their living room.
At first, they intended to just use it for their kids to watch videos. But, after having it for a few days, they moved it into their family room and use it as their main TV. It was a win-win!!!

I would either give it away to a friend or sell it at a discount on Craigslist.
