Right now I am having, from what I've been told, an overscan problem with my Sony KDF-42WE655 tv. I have noticed this problem the most when I play my PS3 and the wallpaper on the background goes off the screen on all four sides. Not only that, but I've noticed it sometimes when I am watching tv from my Dish receiver. On the PS3 I have tried different sized wallpapers, but the PS3 auto-sizes them and the result is the same.

Now, I have tried dilligently to correct this problem myself, but no luck at all. I have messed with the settings on the tv (including overscan option), the PS3, and the Dish receiver and still the same result where the picture goes off the screen partially.

Someone refered me to search the AVS forums here for a firmware update that should correct the problem, but I have found nothing so far... Is that truely what I need or is there something else I'm not doing?

For anyone that has this tv or may know what's going on, could you please help? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
