Never had one problem in all these years with UTV - upgrade recently was applied but today I swapped out my old Terk 5x8 multiswitch with a new Wide Band Zinwell 6X8 for changeover to the 5 LNB at the end of the month. All other older receivers in the house work (2 HD models and 2 other SD D* Tivo units) and receive the signal perfectly but the UTV keeps "searching for satellite signal". I thought the only difference with the new wide band multisw was that it was for the new HD but all other receivers would still be able to work. I have re-booted/unplugged but no change. Anyone else that owns the UTV switch out and run into this problem?
I wonder if you're experiencing the same problem I posted in this thread -

YES THANK YOU - finally someone else!!! I did a search but I used Multiswitch as the search term so that one did not come up.
Today I experimented - in my entertainment center the UTV sat on a shelf above my HDTivo - I swapped the cables and the cables from the UTV worked perfectly in the HD and HD didn't work in the UTV - so I know it is not the cables or the multiswitch.
I swapped the unit with a seldom used SDTivo until/if an answer is found as to why this happened - and I really liked my UTV!

Do you have your 5LNB hooked up? That's what caused mine to lose signal. I don't have a multi-switch though.
Not yet - D* comes to upgrade the dish at the end of the month - I just went ahead and changed my multiswitches - but only did it after I read that the wide band version required for the 5 LNB would work with older receivers - well it doesn't with UTV.
