WFLA in tampa is showing the SD feed... i could be watching the office

HD from Seattle but SD from Buffalo. None of the other networks are in HD.
The extra "information" on the sides are pictures of Laura and the two daughters, just outside the 4:3 frame.
Does that mean NBC is the providing the pool feed?

damn, I was beat to the punch. Having signal issues via Comcast in Lansing, MI. Not sure if its WILX (our local NBC) of a national feed issue. Its flickering black for a second, then its fine, then does it again.

I saw it in the channel guide and only turned to NBC for the possibility of an HD feed.

WHDH Boston just lost the HD feed.

I'm watching it HD on NBC.

Fox tried to show it in widescreen but couldn't seem to find the right feed. It was constantly changing from stretched 4:3 to stretched 16:9 to normal 16:9 with pillarboxes.

Ooops. NBC just switched to SD. :s

While in HD, you could see the bags (and powder) under his eyes.

That didn't last long. So much for the first "HD" Oval Office speech. If you're going to make a big deal out of it make sure it lasts for at least longer than 5 mins...

FOX has a low quality 16:9 SD feed from FOX News Channel in NYC.
They forgot the switch the White House video to 4:3 Pillarbard so it was stretched for the start of the speech.

I heard it when NBC was doing HD and SD and during the Democratic response. All other channels were fine.

And what was up with NBC showing all those "field" shots in SD? Those are posts that have been HD before. (DC News Desk, White House)

Apparently the White House HD feed was handled by Verizon which had some switching problems.

Sucks NBC wasn't able to provide the entire speech in HD.. Here's a screen cap from my local NBC via my OTA antenna.

Wondering about the HD aspect of the broadcast.

NBC mentioned in the introduction to Bush's presidential address last night that it would be the first time an address/speech would shown in HD from the White House.

My local NBC did start in HD and it looked nice and clean a good HD pic. Then a few minutes into the address it went to having side bar overlays, still looked good but 4:3 ratio. My local ABC CBS and FOX all were in SD the whole time.

Was this just NBC trying to show it in HD and did others have full HD the entire broadcast on NBC or on the other networks?
