Take a vote on which image/configuration you think looks the best.. (btw.. I'll have this same set of images for the Sony soon.. but for that poll it will be head to head to see if you can pick out the Sony or which one looks better etc).

This is from the BD movie.. "the wild" around 1hr3min / chapter 16.

Here were the settings used for each photo:

(keep in mind the exposures can be off on each one from reality as the camera's timing may have differed each time)

Also.. recall.. my stand is 25.75" , i sit back 16 feet (zoomed in with camera) on a 17" high couch.. So my eyes hit about 4 inches below center, causing the hotspot to be a little lower and the top darker (though not as noticeable here I think).

Dynamic:
I left it at the defaults that came with the TV:
Contrast 100
Bright 45
Sharp 75
Color 55
Tint G50
Cool1
DNE on
NR off
Active Color on
Wide colors

Standard (these are the settings I use in general now, thanks to combining some of your results with my liking):
Contrast 70
Brightness 46
Color 63 (using 58 on cable), if increased to say 65, the colors here would be close to the dynamic i think.
G51
Warm2
Black adjust set to LOW (I think I have been using Medium with Cable) Gamma +2 (using +1 on cable) Wide colors DNE on (note.. I didn’t see a huge improvement with this on, like I did with Comcast Cable) NR off

There are two different frames here.. hence the naming. Note the one with the lights on.. a little bit of detail is lost (or the camera underexposed etc).

Which one would you say looks the best? (Also note the rock in the back right.. the shadow detail changes a bit from type to type, camera may have not focused perfectly from frame to frame too.. probably not the best test for colors since this is "cartoonish")

When I saw this movie playing on the Sony at the store with its default vivid settings.. I thought the two chameleons seemed to pop out of the screen more so than they do on the Samsung.. Ill know for sure once I go see these side by side on Friday or Saturday :) I will take photos of both, if I can, at the store.

There is not a major difference in most of the pictures but the dynamic clearly show finer detail/less blur in the hairs on top of the furry animal's head.

I see what you mean.. or perhaps my camera's focus was just off when i snapped it.

Here is the photo i was able to take tonight at Sears of the 60A3000. This photo is with the image set to Vivid and all default settings. I think it is comparible to the Dynamic one for the Sammy.. After i snapped the photo.. the Customer service girl came running up to tell me i cant take pictures.. Ridiculous.. At any rate..

This has me leaning towards the Samsung, I like its richer color base and with Dynamic mode or a tweaked Standard mode.. more detail can be brought out.. what does everyone else think:
