Hey Everyone,
My Grandfather (now tipping 80) has been fighting with macular degeneration for a solid decade now in his right eye, and has unfortunately just lost his left eye to the same fight. He still has enough vision to see things, but is having a heck of a time seeing his TV (an old 27" that he sits about 5-6ft from.
I have spoken with all of the family and we are going to pitch in and get him something much larger. Essentially, we are seeking the largest possible viewing area for the money. Projectors are out of the question .... so we are looking to find a rear projection unit of some kind.
They are out in the country, so no OTA reception .. so no worries about it being a HD-ready or full of tuners (they have a sat. box). I just need something BIG for him
What are some suggestions for the best value in RPTV for a very non-discerning viewer that just wants something viewable.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
