Tonight, for the first time I was using my projector to watch movies played through component and when I did, I had horizontal lines of mostly green light flash through various parts of the picture every 2 to 5 seconds. At first, I thought it might be the DVD player so I tried my Dish box and had the same thing. This doesn't happen when I use HDMI in, just component, so I'm thinking it could be the cable. I have a 25 foot component cable from monoprice. Does anyone know if a long run like that could cause an issue like this?

Just bought some of those from monoprice as well and mine works great.. You might want to make sure all the connections are tight and if the cable is easily accesible maybe try and switch them around... If that doesn't work the cable is probably going out... good luck..

If they are rolling bars then it is most likely a ground loop problem. They are caused by an incorrect ground from satelite or cable provider. Best way to test it is to unhook the coax line going in to your cable or satelite box and see if they go away.
