Ok. I am about to pull the trigger on one of the DVDO's/ either the 50 or the pro. Now I am a newbie here and while I have decent gear I just want to know if it will make much of a difference. I have a 50" Elite Pro1000HDI, Integra DTR 7.7, Toshiba XA2 and Sony DVP999ES, and directv DVR+, in the video dept. You guys know way more than I do and would appreciate any opinions on this because I have do idea which one is better and what exactly I would notice. Sorry if this is a bother but I'm ready to soak up knowledge in laymans terms since I've read all I can handle.

it would help if you specified what type of artifacts you were suffering from, what your budget was, what type of a viewing mix you had (how much % DVD, how much HD content, how much SD content), etc.
