In an effort to reduce the amount of electronic equipment in my living room I'd like to find a high end DVD changer that I can use to play DVD's and CD's. Currently I have a 15yr old Onkyo 6 disc CD changer and a cheap hundred dollar Cyberhome DVD player. My system is two channel and would like one component to do it all. I have the option to run the audio output through a separate DAC. If possible I'd like either a silver chasis or blue display to go with my other components but I'm flexible on that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could get a Sony DVP-CX777ES - they take 400 discs and used to be available in silver. I think they only make them in black now, but you might find a dealer that still has the silver ones, or you could get one on Ebay. They all have a blue display.
They're not user friendly, so a lot of people use computers or Escient managers to control them (they have RS232 ports). No HDMI though, and none expected.
This one shown in the link below is multi-region - lowest price for standard Region 1 is about $550 I think:

Onkyo's DV-CP704 comes in silver and has a blue display light. Also upscales DVDs to 1080i. It does not play SACD or DVD-A, if that is a need.
Denon and Yamaha have SACD/DVD-A upscaling changers, but they're more expensive. They also have lower level ones similar to Onkyo's. Yamaha has a pretty wide selection.
