KueMan10 09-16-07, 01:18 PM I don't know about anyone else, but I think the 49er game looks pretty good! Well when to compared to past HD football broadcasts I've seen on FOX. The main camera look kind of average, but the PQ of all other shots seem to be great. I wish the baseball games looked this good.
Oh, BTW I'm in the SF Bay Area on D*.

All the cams look good except the main field cams and the cable cam.
The main field cam looks little soft and edge enhanced the more they are zoomed
out. They just switched to the right side high cam and it looks more out of focus then the center high cam.

Plus I'm getting the swimming grass effect from the digital compression and the heat on the turf.
The cable cam was very out of focus for the field goal attempt and overall looks more soft and edge enhanced then last week.

The ground cams look great,

I don't know what it is about Giants Stadium but it seems no network can get clean video from the main field cams there.
CPanther95 09-16-07, 04:21 PM Not that I'm complaining, but NFL ST isn't blacking out the games available locally (for me anyway).
ChrisL01 09-16-07, 04:29 PM Dallas at Miami in HD (MPEG-4) on D* (Houston) is very choppy. Anyone else seeing the same on theirs?
Chris
MIN at DET looks like typical FOX quality. WJBK, Comcast, Detroit

It looks on par with NBC's golf coverage.

I thought the GB/NYG game looked ok but I've seen better from FOX.
Definately not their best picture.
SbWillie 09-16-07, 08:24 PM Dallas/Miami looked great on Cox in OKC! No problems.:D
manshack_one 09-17-07, 10:17 AM Well, I got screwed out of watching Dallas in HD once again! I'm too far out to receive Fox OTA digital (without putting the antenna up another 20 ft) and it was put out on Fox West instead of Fox East (which I'm pigeon-holed into because of my time zone). Had to watch the game on the Fox local standard broadcast. Standard looks like crap at 120"! I'm in the Tyler TX market watching Directv HD using a mitsubishi hd1000U. Last week the local affiliate (again, the only way for me to get HD network feed) never even turned on the game. Was black screen for 3 hrs. At least my guests were fans enough to not care about the picture quality and more about the game itself.

What are you watching the game on and how do you get your screen captures? Thanks.
What are you watching the game on and how do you get your screen captures? Thanks.Typically a PC HD tuner card, but there are other ways; 169time or Nextcom, Firewire from a cable box...

Wow. That looks like a very realistic video game. I would've never thought that was a real screen shot.
angle_slam 09-17-07, 08:08 PM What is SD Widescreen? Sounds like 480i that is in 16:9 format, correct?
If so, why does D* air it in 4:3 on Sunday Ticket?

480i upconverted to 720p. Before Fox started doing HD, D* did carry the FOX Widescreen offerings.
