Im looking at the Cyrus Theater Recliner set for my home theater. Has anyone purchased these seats? Are they comfortable and how is the quality? Any information would be appreciated as I would like to place the order a.s.a.p.

Hi attichometheater,

The Cyrus is one of Coaster's new models. I believe it is a great recliner. It offers great comfort and the price is more than affordable. The Cyrus features:

*Hardwood frame
*Sinuous spring construction
*Legget and Platt reclining mechanism
*Black leather match cover

If you would like more information about the Cyrus or any other model home theater seat, don't hesitate to send me a PM (personal message).

I had the opportunity to sit in the Cyrus a couple weeks ago at a Coaster Open House. The Cyrus is more on the scale of the Berkline's smallest seat, the 088, in the height and the width. I have the exact measurements in my notes if you would like to PM me. The quality is good, the styling nice, and the seats is comfortable but it's not as plush as the Showtime, Director's or Executive when it comes to the padding. I only sat in it for a few minutes so I couldn't tell you how comfortable it would be when watching a movie or football game. Hopefully someone on the board will purchase them and soon and chime in with some additional comments.

Thanks for the post. I broke down and purchased a set of 3 on a wing and a prayer. I couldnt pass up the 589.00 price tag with shipping they were $877.00 tl. Not a bad deal I would say. Lets hope they are comfy!

I just ordered 4 of these today as part of the HTAuthority power buy for this forum. I paid $1316 for all 4 including shipping. I'll post my thoughts on them when they arrive.

I like the looks for these but do these attach together and have cupholders? Hard to tell from pictures/description.

They do not attach together, they are individual chairs. But if you line them up, close they should look like they are attached. I wanted and needed the flexibility of moving them apart that's why I bought these instead of seats that had to be hooked together.

I sure hope they have cup holders. If not, I'm going to be real disappointed.

Yes they do have cup holders in each arm. Its nice that they are not attached for flexability and the comfort of not having to share an arm rest.

I received my chairs on Sat. I must say they are very nice for the money. At first they were a little stiff for my liking but I quickly got used to them. I would recommend these chairs for the budget minded buyer.

Glad your chairs are working out for you! I have high hopes for the Cyrus. It's a good thing yours arrived when they did, too. Unfortunately, nationwide stock on the Cyrus is dwindling, and I'm pretty sure it will be a good while before more wash up on the shores of the US.

Bump for a follow up. These look a bit rigid, and the 'foam cushions' have me a bit cautious as well. Not available locally, so I'm counting on some reviews from some folks that have owned them for awhile.

The price certainly seems right, but I'm trying to figure out the tradeoff vs a studio or berkline/etc. I'm prefer the versatility of stand alone/seperate seating, and this seems to be perfect. Just don't want that buyers remorse.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Martin,

Thanks for the details & input, does this model come in fabric / microfiber ? Guess that lower their price a little bit.

Mine are holding up well and pretty much look new. They aren't the sturdiest things but if you're careful moving them it will be fine. The only problem I've had is that an electrical panel cover fell on two of the chairs and broke both cup holders, maybe because they are flimsy or maybe just bad luck. I'm happy with the chairs overall for the price.

What would be the total width for a row of 3 on these seats?
