its the best channel to have.... it takes you live to any channel and in HD.... it shows the games highlights and everything in HD....

I know! When I'm not watching my NFL team this is the channel I watch. They take you around the league showing you anything worth seeing. I love the Redzone channel in HD!:D

This is my first year having Sunday Ticket so I thought it was always around.

I'd have to say, watching it around 12:30 and 3:30 are the best times. I end up getting sensory overload from all the action.

First year in HD -- its great!!! Last year we paid for it as part of Superfan, but it was in SD...YECK!!!!

the best thing about it was you got the scores, you get the updates but the best part was it kept the true hd for each game...

Have to agree, RZC-HD was great yesterday. Not having a rooting interest in any of the 4PM games, I just watched this from 4PM on. I'd never pay extra for it, but it's definitely a nice bonus to the SF nonsense.

Does RZC now cut to CBS games as well? The last couple years when it was only FOX games and only SD I felt the channel was worthless. I don't have it this year and am curious if they made the change to include CBS as well.

I agree with everyone else...... it was a pleasant surprise to stumble across this last week while surfing the afternoon games. I watched it for the first half of the late games. :cool:

I didn't have a particular 1PM game that I wanted to watch, so I sat in the back yard with my widescreen laptop and watched the RZHD station via sling box. What an awesome afternoon. It wasn't true HD, but it was 640X480 on a 15.4 widescreen.

Yep, when I first saw the announcer I asked the GF is she thought those things were real.

Another great thing is the team player tracking on my HR20. So the GF and I would get popups as our players made points.

The host is really good, and his voice sounds just like Jim Lampley.

I just had my 2 HR-20's hooked up Saturday. The RZC is really cool ---but putting in your fantasy team and having their stats come up on the screen while watching your favorite team is waaaaaay cool !!!

I don't need an HR20 to get popups when my players make points...

We watch with about 4-5 other FF owners, and we're locked on the GameMix Channels....when someone's in the RedZone we flip to the play, then back to the Gamemix.We never sit on any one game during huddles....just way too much action with 8 other NFL games going.
The only problem is the Gamemix is SD....on a 110" screen it's better being bigger, BUT WE NEED THE GAMEMIX IN HD !

Question: Is everybodies interactive menus slow? Mine seem extremely slow to pop up the scores or menu and when trying to switch to games via the scoreboard.

Also what channels is RZHD I only saw the SD version when looking during week 1?

Concur that the Game Mix needs to offer an HD version. They also need to remove alot of the wasted space on the channel so they can make the 8 games as big as possible. It would be the best channel ever offered to a football nut. Like being in Vegas without the smoke.

game mix and changing to every game... thats a lot of work, which is why theres the red zone ch, andrew s. and the red zone staff do all the work for u.

absolutely agree. If they got rid of that wasted space the channel would be a MUST HAVE for sports nuts. As it is right now, I don't even flip to it as the picture is just too small. It's really a shame someone doesn't use common sense on that.

I don't quite get the draw of the Red Zone Channel, when you can just go to that game.
I remember the Gamemix being small on my 42" plasma....we used to stand in front to see the action, this is a big reason I went with Projection, it's much more pleasing to watch, like having 8 20" TVs....now it just needs to be HD and widescreen, and my mission in life will be complete!

For an HD channel they could divide it up into 9 separate blocks that maintain the 16x9 ratio. If you had a 50" widescreen (the screen size would be about 44" x 24") each alotted game space would be about 14.5" x 8" which is the equivalent of a 16" TV. That would be sweet and watchable.

If there are two games In The RZ, they go to an HD split screen. Which is way cool. They also will show a replay of a scoring drive they may have missed by being at a different game.

The big draw for me is no commercials. If you watch the last half of the 4th quarter you get about 45 minutes of nonstop action before all the games are over. If there are 3 or 4 close games at once, it is much easier that flipping a remote and finding out that channel is on commercial.

whats up guys. does anyone else have to pay for NFL TICKET + SUPERFAN + HD PACKAGE in order to get the NFL games in HD? first week i got the HD games fine, then 2nd week rolls around and the HD games didn't come in. called retention, talk to the rep and he said i needed ALL 3 in order to get the games in HD. even talked to the supervisor, no luck. this is ridiculous because first yr, you just needed NFL ticket. then 2nd year, you needed NFL ticket + superfan. now they want you to pay for ALL 3? im getting quite fed up with dtv.
