I am close to purchasing a Pio 5080, but my main source will be a HTPC, and I am concerned about the ability of the set to be connected to a PC through the HDMI port.

Can this set accept PC signals from the HDMI port? Manual says that it can but I am curious about peoples experience.

I am assuming that the resolution my computer will display as correct will be 1360x768. Will I get black bars on the left and right of the screen? How about overscan/underscan? If not, is it streching the picture?

I know the sure bet would be to get the 5010, but with a $1000 difference between these models and that I will be seated >8ft away, I want to try the 5080.

Thanks in advance.

i tried there already, and got the same... no replies

All I want to know is if the HDMI is set to PC mode and a 1360x768 signal is sent to it, what happens to the missing pixels on the left and right.

Most people probably use the VGA port on the 5080 instead of the HDMI, is why you don't get any responses.

If the VGA port is used what happens to the missing pixels on the left and right?

Are they black, gray, etc.? If not is the picture stretched?

there are a couple blank columns on each side.
