I can pick up the Panasonic for $2700 or I can pick up the pioneer for about $5500. I saw them both at Ken Cranes and the black levels and the contrast on the pioneer did not look that much better to my eye or worth the extra $2800. I wanted to know, if money is not a consideration who would choose the Panasonic over the pioneer? The prices I am talking about are not available at Ken Cranes.

And by the way, the ELITE Pioneer "major league ball" is in another league from the Panny "double A ball".

I would go with the PZ700U if you can't see a difference. Remember if this is your first plasma, enjoy the savings and upgrade to your dream plasma later.
