Hey everyone, I currently have a Sony DVP-NC85H connected to a Yamaha HTR-6090 and a Samsung HLS-6187W 1080p DLP. I want to add SACD/DVDA ability by replacing the Sony, therefore I need a DVD player meeting ALOT of feature requirements:

* 5 Disc Changer
* HDMI Upscaling to at least 1080i
* SACD/DVDA support

Yamaha has what I'm looking for in their DVD-C950, but it's a bit pricey at MSRP $500. Can anyone make any recommendations with a budget in mind of about half that? The Sony I have does everything I want except the SACD/DVDA.

Bonus points if it has SACD/DVDA over HDMI so I don't have to use analog multichannel! ;)

No Sony will do DVD-A. Check the used market for players that meet your specs if the MSRP is too pricey. I think there's a upscaling Marantz multi-disc universal, too. Maybe a Denon also.

Most changers I've seen that upscale AND do SACD/DVD-A are at or near the $500 mark new. Used is probably your best option. Denon's DVM-2845CI is about the same as Yamaha in cost terms.

If you can do away with the changer part, there's a few for under $250.

Be careful on some of the Yamaha's 5-Disc changers alot of them are made by philips, and are VERY poor quality and have serious durability issues.
