I am purchasing a gently used BDI Axis 8026 rack tomorrow (great deal off craigslist for $300!!!).

I plan to put the rack in the front right corner of my projection HT room and naturally put all my gear on it. I will have 6/7 shelves, and was considering putting the sub on the bottom shelf of the rack, since I understand it's best to put a sub in or near a corner anyway.

Does anyone see any problems with this? The shelves are glass, but I wouldn't mind making/having made a wood shelf if folks that that the glass could be an issue. I could also easily obtain rubber feet etc to isolate the sub on the glass/wood shelf if that were necessary.

Thanks - the sub in question is a deftech pro sub 80, and would easily fit on the shelf.

Unless that rack has some sort of special dampening capabilities, the sub is more than likely going to vibrate it quite a bit. Doesn't strike me as a good idea, but it's easy enough to test out.
