One of the things I hadn't yet done much of in TDU was drive with actual other people I know....mostly because it always seemed like such a HUGE colossal PITA, with people having to litereally sit still for minutes at a time while your buddies tried to connect up with you. And then god help you if you wanted to switch cars!

Having recently started playing with the wheel (and downloading hardcore mode) I'm left wondering if there's anyone out there who wants to get together some night and tool around the racetrack (assuming you've got it opened up) or just go on some cruises, or high speed races, or whatever.

I fired the game up last night and just spent time trying to drive some of my different cars with the wheel, and its still great fun (successfully weaving around traffic at 170mph without wrecking feels like an accomplishment), but the problem with the game remains: I've beaten all the single player challenges........I get in my car and drive and have nowhere to go :D

I'm about to clear the last championship on DiRT so I might be up for something. I was planning on going back to TDU after DiRT anyway, but 1 - 2 - 3 three week punch of Halo, PGR, and Half Life are going to make that moot.

I used to play that thing all the time when it came out. I have it on PC with a G25 steering wheel. I stopped playing it when I lost my profile. The pc version is nortious to corrupting save files and I didn't back up my data. Lost everything eh :(

I've been tooling around at night lately trying to get the feel for the cars with the wheel, racing on the racetrack. They did a good job modeling these cars, the Ferrari 430 is very easy to drive fast, the class A cars are impossible (the throttle is waaay too sensitive), the older american cars are heavy as heck on the wheel......

Right now I'm going through my garage and thinking about banging out a few of the cheap achievements I've missed (buying 50 cars, etc) but I can also see with the wheel there are cars that are fun to drive and cars that are *work* to drive.....

Of course PGR4 drops soon and that means this'll get shelved for awhile...I also forgot in this game how hard it can be to see the road when you're in cockpit mode, its much, much easier to see the road from the 3rd person views or the hood/gauges views...driving in the cockpit view in TDU is satisfying, but I have to check the map alot more to see when a turn is coming up....
