Okay, maybe someone could help me with a new issue I am encountering. I am utilizing an Projection HDTV for normal TV Viewing and a 720p Projector for Movies and XBOX 360 use as well as special events and sports. I would like to be able to control each set individually, however, I recently had Time Warner deliver a HD Converter for the Projector and to my dismay, both their PVR and HD Converter utilize the same IR codes. So now I turn the channel on the PVR and the HD box changes channels also. I'm hoping someone can help me out with this dilemma as the whole point is to have two displays with different programming on them. Can I somehow change the IR codes in the boxes?

Detailed Setup:
RCA Scenium HD52W140
connected with Component cables to:
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD

Proxima Projector DP6860
connected with Component cables to:
Yamaha HTR-5830 A/V Reciever
Switched:
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HDC
Xbox 360

All Controlled with Logitech Harmony Remote Xbox 360 Version

Anyone with ideas?????

No you can't. The IR codes for equipment is usually hard programmed into the equipment. There is no way to change it without major surgery.

An alternative idea would be to totally enclose the PVR and the convertor box in separate cabinets and place IR remote extenders with their sensors far enough apart so that one doesn't pick up the signal aimed at the other. You may have to experiment with some mechanism to limit the horizontal detection range of the extenders' sensors like a paper tube, etc.

While changing the remote codes is extreme surgery, some models provide an option for "unit 1" and "unit 2" or something along those lines. This is needed when you (for example) rent 2 PVRs from the cable company. I am not familiar with those units though, and you'll have to scour the manuals and/or on-screen setup to see if this option exists.
