I would like to know the same thing. If they came out and said for sure that would get it on a certain date I would be happy even if the date was 3 months from now but sending in an order and them not even saying they have received it is just ridiculous

Still waiting on my discs from the Summer Promo, I've been in the system for weeks now as a status of "In Process". I picked a couple of Paramount titles, I wonder if they are starting to run out of those since no more are being produced. I was hoping to get the free discs by Christmas, but I have a feeling that isn't going to happen.

Don't worry. In time you will likely get your first set of movies and the second set! My first set also took longer than 30 days so I called, they reshipped, and I ended up get my five twice. The second set came a lot quicker than the first set. Then you will have 5 movies to trade/sell (or 4 if you like the replacement). I traded my second set (Blazing Saddles, Transporter 2, Italian Job, Stealth and The Guardian) for Cast Away, Clockwork Orange, FMJ (good version) and Harry Potter 1 & 5. I definitely got the longer straw on that exchange.

From Canada here and I got mine this past Saturday. I had mailed my form in early September. I had first called the toll-free line about 6 weeks ago to find out the status and they said it was approved and to expect shipment 8 weeks from that time. I then called them back about 2 weeks ago and this time the person gave me a confirmation number and explained that "The Italian Job" was no longer available and will be substituting it with "The Devil's Rejects" and to expect shipment sometime in the new year... I ended up getting "Deja Vu" instead of "TDR".
So it was a nice surprise to have Canada Post show up at my front door with my BD movies! :)

Got mine today. It took about 6 weeks. I had actually forgot about them and was wondering what I had ordered when I saw the package. What a lovely surprise. I got everything I asked for, nothing was replaced.

Can anyone suggest what I do if I don't have a sales receipt? I received a PS3 for Christmas, but I wasn't given a receipt. Unfortunately, I know it was paid for in cash, so there's no way to go back and track a CC.

Ask the person who gave it to you if they have the receipt? if not, find out where they bought it and see if you can go to the store and have them reproduce a receipt?

That was my first thought, but since it was paid for in cash, I doubt there'd be any way to track the purchase.

It will take about a month before you show up in the system. Or maybe you never will show up in the system and your movies will just show up at your house. If you sent in for the summer offer it is about a 3-6 month wait but if you sent in for the fall offer you could get your movies any day. Also, I don't think they have an online tracking system for the fall offer. The fall offer is a much better way to go in my opinion. The summer offer people do not know what they are doing and are as slow as snails.

Only 3 weeks. It took about 8 weeks to show up on that website as "in process" for many of us, and that's only the beginning of the 3-6 month saga. And that's only the beginning of the wait. 3 weeks is nothing.

But based on your timeline you are in the latter fall promotion so odds are you will see your movies way before I do even though you hadn't even bought a player when I hit the 3 week mark on having sent mine in...

If you go to Best Buy, you'll need a State issued ID. I had to do this last time I lost my BB receipt and I paid with cash (they couldn't find my purchase in the system).

That's fine, I got my Drivers License. Walmart will take almost anything back.

Yes I just talked with them today and the Holiday promotions discs were mailed yesterday according to them. I received the summer promotion discs back in August so I guess you can get both promotions.

Thanks for the link (therefore not shooting the messenger) but I found the article and follow-up pretty unsatisfying. It doesn't go nearly far enough to push the spokesperson. The weak excuse about not anticipating the demand still doesn't start to explain why people in the Fall Promotion are already being fulfilled but many of us in the Summer promotion are still waiting.

And the disc substitution explanation doesn't excuse why they absolutely refuse to allow customers to direct which substitutions they prefer when calling before the orders are fulfilled.

And publishing that customer service # is less than useless since if you call it you get the worst, useless customer service on the planet and they know less than the Internet screen and are totally unhelpful. Nor does it get into how they are lying about the dates they receive the rebate forms to extend their timeline.

According to the web site, mine were shipped on 11/28/07, about 4 months after sending the offer in. Today is the 6 of January and they still haven't arrived. What a debacle run by complete morons.

I just got my movies in the mail today. I sent in my rebate form the last week of October.

On the returns issue, many retailers are tracking returns without receipts because of theft issues. They want to ensure that all of the returns/exchanges that are made were actually purchased. Target only allows two returns without receipt in any 12 month period.

I was shocked to get home today and find my 5 free movies in the mail. I sent in my rebate form exactly one month ago. I received all 5 I requested: The Prestige, Flight of the Phoenix, S.W.A.T, Stir of Echoes and Swordfish.

This is their SOP. As I posted previously, I was dubious so I had mine sent in with UPS and required signature and they still claimed they received them about a month later than that. Their definition of received seems to be whenever they get around to dusting off the stack of mail on their desks and typing them into a computer...

For what it's worth I purchased a Monster cable ~ 2 weeks after sending in my original 5 movie offer and the cable came with a get a free movie. The monster cable shows up as in process now and my 5 free movies for the player doesn't show anything.... Apparently BV is running the promo's for both.

*Update: I did have enough patience after all to call them. The CSR told me that my disks were sent out on January 23 but I should allow 3 - 4 weeks for them to arrive. It certainly gives new meaning to the term "snail mail".

I already have a PS3 in my living room but I'm thinking of moving it to my bedroom. My problem is I have an XA2 and PS3 in the living room so I can watch anything in there but if I want to watch something in the bedroom, I only have an A20 in there so BD's are out for the time being. I'd like to have the ability to play both formats in the bedroom. No stereo/AVR/speakers in the bedroom so audio is not as big a deal. I use the TV sound only.

I have a Sony 5300ES AVR with 7.1 surround so a 1.1 compliant BD player that bitstreams to the AVR via HDMI is all I need really. The BD30 looks like a good choice as does the Pio but the Pio is way more expensive. I don't think I want a PS3 in the living room anymore as I'm not a big gamer and all my music and pics are supplied already via an Apple TV in there. The bluetooth remote deal is also sort of a pain as I have a Harmony 880.

I got way passed pissed and eventually tracked down the contact infor the the senior execs at Archway, the company handling the fulfillment of the promotion. The finally resulted in them FedEx'ing me my movies, with two crappy substititions. I had many examples of people who had sent theirs in way after me but received them sooner. Their process is total chaos. It took 11 weeks in all.

Can you post or PM me the information for the archway exec's you found. This is the route Im going to take at this point since its been much much longer (2 months) and i just received a note saying the company (best buy) I bought this from was not an acceptable company and asked me to NOT RESUBMIT. Im throughly ticked especially since I've been on top of this since day one and have been repeatedly told my discs were processed and that shipping them was only a matter of time...

It was UPS. The movie cases were in good shape except for the cardboard Pirates of the Caribbean cover that was smashed in at the corners. I was actually surprised UPS even delivered the movies to my door since I usually get a postcard asking me to pick up the package because they can't get inside my condo.

This offer is great, uh? Hey, buy our Bluray player and we will send you 5 mediocre movies, AND make you wait 2 and half months to get them. Yeah!!!

This is why I don't buy based on the mail-in offers. Too much hassle, and too long to wait.

If the company really wants to give you a deal, they should give the rebate or movies at the time of purchase. Instead they play these games. Marketers belong in the same slimy box as divorce lawyers and ambulance chasers.

Finally got mine after 13 weeks via USPS.

Received mine today. Never showed up on BV website at all. 3 movies were substituted.

I sent mine in on Dec 27. was shipped on Feb 8. and received on Feb 15. I got all the titles I requested.

I just called to see if they even received my order, and she told me it would be impossible to check the status of my order due to maintenance until later today...then she told me to call around noon. It is 11 am right now, so I responded 'You mean in one hour?' She sounded surprised, then said, 'It's 11 where you are?'

If she is surprised at the existence of the Pacific Time Zone, that's ok...but where the hell is she? Hawaii? Alaska? I'm getting the feeling I shouldn't count on ever receiving any of these movies...

After just now calling to check status (of "shipping" that is, since it has been showing "in process" for several weeks!!), operator said something about mailing a postcard to me. I just got postcard at home and it gave me the option to cancel my order altogether! WHAT NERVE!!! Indeed, do I want to cancel a FREEBIE!!! WTF!! I could maybe understand if this were HD DVD, but blu ray is still a viable business!!!

I just called and they told me all 5 of the ones I asked for shipped today. it shouldnt take long to get them now.

They arrived in a large padded envelope. I'm surprised they didn't fall out during shipping because one end was held together with just a couple of staples. Not the best packing job I've ever seen.

My discs arrived yesterday with no substitutions. I sent in the form at the end of December after Christmas.

I can't access the BluRaySavings.com or BluRaySavings.ca site from work. Are there any current 5 disk offers, beyond the offer that expired on Feb 29, 2008? A number of friends just purchased PS-3 players.

buddy at work got a substitution: They took out Italian Job and gave him Corpse Bride...of course he already owned it.

I had gotten a second bluray player on the last day for the deal. I got the panasonic 30. I sent it in.. today I got my 5 free movies. they had replaced the one that my dad was interested in. I got harts war instead of the last waltz. I also got swat, devils reject, full metal jacket, the prestige.

Got them yesterday in a padded envelope:), only thing is that Hart's War was sub'd for Species. Will they exchange for something else if I send it back??
