I was wondering is there a camera view that would allow you to bring the puck into the zone and be able to see all your players on the same side of the blue line? I mean sometimes I bring the puck up and not be able to see my players to pass it to.. I know there is an overhead camera view, but then they are tiny...the reason I ask is that I was watching You Tube clips of NHL 2K8 and it appeared that the player brought the puck up and was able to setup in the zone and you were able to see all the other guys on the team to pass the puck around. I am not sure if it was just a promtional video of 2K8.

Thanks

Thread Title says NHL 08...Your post refers to NHL 2K8. I'm confused as to which game your actually asking about. NHL 08 or NHL 2K8.

Sorry for the confusion...my question is about EA NHL 08. Just wondering if there was a camera angle that would allow you to see your whole team set up so you could see who your passing to. Also I have an older 27" CRT(upgrading soon), is it possible that the game was made for a wide screen?

Ice view is what I use, but Action is more close-up, try it with "autozoom" off, that may work. I tend to stick with Ice, but I wish there was something a tad closer...

nah, I have widescreen, and I noticed the same thing. I tried Classic and Ice, both have their good/bad. This is something EA seems to just never get right, and the other thing that REALLY bugs me is that again, the passing button is the same button for changing players.

Yeah, they need a zoom slider in the options area to zoom in/out, it's too limited as it is... Probably my one gripe with 2008.

I watched the ign.com head-to-head video comparing 2k8 with 08, in the video I found 2k8 to be using more dynamic zooming and camera angles overall I think that made it much more interesting to watch and I think easier to see all the action. I'm surprised that none of the reviews and comparisons make mention of this.

Now I did end up buying NHL08 instead, still I remember having a similar criticism of NHL07 last year versus the 2k offering. I may be in the minority, thinking the way I do.
