I recently hooked up my VP50 to my JVC RS1 and currently have the VP50 connected via component cable. There is an issue with the RS1 and it's hdmi inputs, my RS1 is going to be replaced. The other day I was going through internal test patterns of the VP50 and I noticed that with the 1 pixel checkerboard and the 1 pixel horizontal pattern I see some strange horizontal noise. I am not sure noise it the right word, but that is the only way I can think of to describe it. It's more like faint horizontal lines that are moving around. It's pretty faint and I haven't noticed anything while viewing a normal picture. But I would think that I shouldn't be seeing any sort of movement when viewing these patterns? I have the VP50 set to 1080i60.

set the VP50 to 1080p output ;) if the RS1 will take that over component:)

The RS1 will not except 1080p over component. Now I have the VP50 pro and this problem is even worse than the VP50, and now I have a big horizontal stripe that moves across the screen with all three 1 pixel test patterns, but I do not see it any where else. Any ideas?

Why are you using component. Use HDMI for god sakes.

I am using component because there is a problems with my RS1's hdmi input. I did state this in my first post.
