is anyone else having issue connecting to devices with a JVC 40k? I cant connect with my cable box that my 5u connects fine to SA8350 and my Mits 2000 DVHS? Is it just mine or do others have this problem?

Are you having problems with the 4k showing up on the device list, or are you crashing devices on the chain?

If the latter, for some reason adding the 4k to the chain when I'd have my GX6U turned on would crash all three devices. Not sure if that's your problem, but a different boot order often helped for me. The 4K is finicky enough, adding firewire to the mix didn't help!

Got me. What worked on my end was a lot of hard power downs (literally pulling the plug) and disconnects until I figured out what was going on.
