Can This Player Be Region Free??? Anyone Know?

I could only find firmware to download for the European version of the DVD-1920 and haven't found anything yet that will work for the US region 1 version. I would not try the European firmware. I understand the DVD-2910 and DVD-3910 can be made region free with a remote control hack, but haven't found a remote control hack for this player.
