I just hooked up my brand new RS1. It says "video frequency out of range" when I connect it to my new 35' hdmi cable. If I take the HD-DVD player over to it, and use a 6' cable, it shows a picture after a minute or so. Both cables are monoprice cables. Any ideas?
Does a 35' HDMI cable need a booster? I also purchased a new Key Digital HDMI switcher: http://www.keydigital.com/IW_Products.m4p.pvx?;ITEM?ItemCode=KDHDMI4X1&Company=KEY
I am not sure if it has a D/A or not. I have tried it with and without the switcher. I can't get the 35 footer to work.

When I first hooked up my RS1 the cable was not seeded completely in the AVR I was switching thru, and I had the same issue. Make certain all your connections are well seeded. You should be able to go over 35' without a problem. I'm using a monoprice 50' HDMI cable just fine.
Also are you running the 35' cable direct to the pj or going through an AVR?

Ric. I think his cable is "well seeded". Perhaps he should try some fertilizer. :)

Seriously. Not all BluRay players are created equal in their ability to send out a 1080p signal. A HDMI cable reequalizer may be needed. There is no such thing as a HDMI signal booster. Just a signal reequalizer which goes at the sink end.

Good one Mark ;) . He said HD DVD so this is not a Blu Ray issue so back at 'ya :p. I assume he has one of the Toshiba's. I'm going 50' no problem from the XA2 to the RS1.

Mark,
I try to keep all of my electronics away from the "sink":p

Got me you clever devil. Stay in your "seat." :)
I have experienced differences in the ability of different hi def machines and processors to transmit 1080p 60. A Pioneer Blu Ray hooked up directly with the same long cable works fine but a certain video processor fed by the Pioneer with a short cable and then hooked up to the projector with the same long cable requires an HDMI reequalizer at the projector.

I have tried everything... The only way I get a picture is with my new Toshiba A30 using a 6 footer. I have reseeded the 35" several times. I am in Houston and ready to watch this think all weekend. Will one of these work:
