What will Short Throw a 120" or 133" at 11 feet?

Will any of the new 720p or 1080p pj's throw a 120" or 133" diagonal screen at 11' feet?

Thanks!

I know my Panny needs about 13' to throw 133" Pick a few projectors at the link below and use the calculator.

Well a 133" diag. 16:9 works out to 116" wide...at 11' that is only a 1.14x throw. Not much that will accomodate that without the use of an external short throw lens adaptor. At 119" diag. you are 104" wide...yielding a 1.27x...again, not much out there (not even sure about the Panny). Most digital projectors start around 1.4x, which at 11' works out to ~94" wide, or just shy of 110" diag.

An Optoma HD7100 or HD7300 might work. Visual Apex has them on sale.

Be careful with that one, be VERY careful and fully educate yourself. Read the thread here about it BEFORE doing anything so you are fully informed.

The Sim2 C3x 1080p has a short throw lens option of 1.3. At 11 ft, you could go with a 101 inch wide screen.

The Optoma 7100 mentioned above can do up to 117" diagonal at 11'. The VA sale CowboyCurtis mentions makes it REALLY hard to pass up. I am still debating this one and will need to make up my mind in the next day or so.

If you read the thread rking401 references (you should) you will see that he has had really abysmal luck with this projector. He has my sympathy for that ordeal. You will also see however, that there are some users that have reported no issues. Consider the old adage that you will hear from those having issues 10-1 over those who have none. That statement in no way, shape or form is meant to detract from the frustration felt by those in rking401's position.

It is an option to consider anyway. Great image at an unbelievable price, as long at it works. :)
