Hi all - I live in the uk but am in Miami next week for a couple of days, and planning on going shopping for hd-dvds - can anyone recommend the best shops to go for? preferably miami beach if possible, as that's where my hotel is

Your best bet would be Best Buy or Circuit City, I dont know of independent stores that sell these around where I live, which is the Kendall area, about 40 minutes from Miami Beach, and don't even think about buying anything from Bayside, unless you don't mind paying "Tourist Prices" :P

Amazon.com(depending on how long your staying I'm sure you can have it delievered to your hotel in a day), Best Buy or Circuit City are your best options.

I don't think I've even seen a BB or CC in miami beach (probably there, but I don't know where). I just wanted to recommend the Conrad, if you were still looking for a hotel. that place is sweet.

You can try Brandsmart U.S.A. if you are close to one.

You may want to try Movie Stop. They have a decent variety and are less expensive than BB or CC. They also sell used and take trades. This is a good way of updating your standard collection to HD.
