I recently moved a second Motorola DCT3400 into the same room as another DCT3400. It there a way to assign each remote and it's DVR a unique code to allow each remote to only operate one DVR?
I had previously done this with both series 1 and series 2 DirecTV DVRs. Comcast said it is not possible, and Motorola is not responding to requests eaither way for assistance.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you

Comcast CSR is correct, all DCT/QIP/DCH/QIPH series STB use the same single IR code set.
There are numerous threads and other topics that already cover some various ways of getting the 2 STB in same room to work.

Thanks for the response. I was also told by DirecTV CSRs that using two remotes in the same room is not possible, when it is possible. So I do not always count on a CSR to be correct.
I was searching the threads for use of two remotes specificly for the DCT3400 series, I did not see any threads covering the use of two remotes in the same room. I widened my search at your suggestion and did find threads addressing this issue.
I think I found a solution using a Slingbox.
