View Full Version : Safe to buy Transformers!
eapleitez 09-23-07, 02:15 AM Some of you are probably aware of Transformers at IMAX now. There are about two extra minutes of footage, and I was concerned that it might be some great stuff that would be worth holding off for a second release on HD DVD.
Not to worry though; someone over at IMDB has posted what's the added footage:
****SPOILERS****
- Sam picking up Miles from his house and Miles commenting on the fact that the car is yellow,
- the scene in the SUV after the Sector 7 guys pick up Sam and Mikaela (before Optimus stops them) is much longer,
- and the scene where they're on their way to view Megatron for the first time has 3 lines added.
****END SPOILERS****
Not a big deal at all. Time to preorder Transformers :D
Finch106 09-23-07, 03:37 AM I'm sure they'll wind up on the deleted/extended scenes section anyway.
Favelle 09-23-07, 07:14 AM I can't wait for the city fight scene in HD and DD+!! I just wish they cut out the backyard scene and the sector 7 crap and added 20 minutes to the fighting!

Yeah but they tought i was gonna bomb and gived Bay 100M$ budget, witch is really small for CGI movies of that kind. Most budget of the movie did go into the last scene.
Now that they made 700M$+ World Wide, maybe the 2nd part will get a descent budget..

Now they make a movie where the Decepticons run amok all over Earth, literally taking over the planet, setting up the 3rd movie........yessss........
eightninesuited 09-23-07, 12:39 PM I think what is more likely is that they'll release the Transformers Director's Cut next year with True HD + added scenes.
It's double dip into your pockets folks.

The 7 million The Descent cost wouldn't make a dent in Transformers 2.

I think he meant 'decent'. Transformers had a good budget. I don't think budget hampered anything.
Whatever the case, John Turturro better be in the next one, and he needs a red cape. :D
sharkcohen 09-23-07, 02:16 PM I just wish they cut out the backyard scene and the sector 7 crap and added 20 minutes of Starscream and Megatron.
Fixed FTW.

I agree as well. The entire "shh hide" comedic aspect ran a bit too long and became tedious. I liked the Sector 7 guys, but the backyard stuff should be be kept to a minimum.
elonepb 09-23-07, 03:43 PM They should've cut the scene where all the robots were trying to hide outside of his house. Pointless and dragged on.
I'm sure it cost millions to make that scene though, so no way they were going to cut it.

Yeah, that got kind of wierd. It was like watching huge robots in a slapstick comedy scene.
