Is the Theatrical version of Troy on the BR Director Cut? I heard that the Directors cut wasn't as good as the theatrical. Regular DC DVD's uasaully include the original versions, but does the Blu-Ray disc?

I'm probably in the minority on this, but Troy is makes the second extended cut of a film that I like less than the original (the first being Last of the Mohicans). The HD version looks amazing, but I'll probably downgrade to the original DVD.

I've always thought that both versions should be included in all cases, like how they handled The Abyss special edition.

Director's Cut was better then the theatrical release. That is the case in most films. There is a reason they are the director, and more often then not what they pick is better. Like the Kubrick version of Superman II was better then the theatrical version of Superman II. Just my opinion anyways.

Yeah, you know...the Kubrick edition of Superman. The one that was filmed in black and white where Superman takes a spaceship to Jupiter to save the Earth from a nuclear war caused by a crazy general who got stuck in a haunted hotel and was forced to watched orgies with people in masks. You guys didn't see that one? It was great!

I liked the part where Slim Pickens is riding the nuclear bomb that destroys Krypton down to the ground. Really poignant stuff.

I loved it when Zod painted NAMREPUS on the walls of the Fortress of Solitude in blood...
